Projects
We define our pedigree as the evolution of experience gained from mastering challenging projects.
This has allowed us to shape a product that we can confidently stand behind. A product that consistently brings quality, authenticity and excellence to our customers.
Through our journey of we have noted that each project is unique, requiring it's own specific approach and care.
It would be unjust to summarise all projects collectively but rather to show the variety in a few of our key success stories.
Project: Data Warehouse Implementation
Project Objectives
The client was migrating from old AS400 mainfram systems to a modern ERP and as part of the project the were implementing a Data Warehouse solution to integrate all the data from key systems in a central repository. Our team wall called in to specifically project manage Data Warehouse implementation.
Approach
In this project we had free reign to bring our own bespoke project methologies and tools. We applied a hybrid approach to split the tasks related to technical readiness of the hardware and data migration software, versus the data level engagement with business stakeholders to identify and map data.
Identifying the correct stakeholders relevant to the systems was critical to this process to ensure that we had covered each system correctly.
Following this we entered into the data warehouse implementation where. Identifiying the correct stakeholder
Outcome
By mapping out the system landscape and prioritising migration activities the team was able to rapidly setup the migration infrastructure and tools and start migrating each system.
Each system was phased in a waterfall method, but then followed an agile approach within each system to complete the data warehouse migration activities. This was overall a manageable and structured approach to setting up the data warehouse.

“We were able to get started quickly and we managed to do a lot more in a shorter timeframe than expected. The project approach was easy to follow and provided an excellent level of professsional visibility”
Marco Afonso - Account Manager

Project: Analytics Implementation
Project Objectives
Our client had a legacy of poor information quality and governance with most information reported on excel with multiple versions and poor integrity. The objective of the project was to implement a new group wide data strategy transformation including modern analytics tools to report information effectively across the business.
Approach
We approached the project in two phases:
-
the first was to engage with senior stakeholders to establish the baseline strategy and ensure a prioritised approach.
-
the second was to execute the delivery of reporting capability including data integration and build of reports in the analytics tool.
As this was a technology shift there were many additional factors to consider including training, change management and adoption.
Outcome
The project deployed 80 reports successfully across the business withiin the project timeframe.
The client continues to put data strategy principles and governance first accross the operations.
“The team managed everything effectively from engaging stakeholders, to hands-on delivery of reporting. The team took ownership of seeing every deliverable through at the highest level of quality”
Malcolm Gedrim - Group Commercial Executive
Project: SAP Migration
Project Objectives
The client was migrating from their aging enterprise systems to to a full suite SAP ERP platform. This would also require a data migration component as exisiting reports we identified for conversion to new reporting tools or to integrate data from the new data platform.
Approach
Our project team was specifically brought in to manage the reporting conversion to integrate the SAP data into existing business reports. We would operate as a smaller independent team within a broader project team and approach. Although we has to align to the overall project governance we were also given room to apply our own methodology for managing our specific deliverables.
One of the key dependencies was securing SAP technical support to identify data sources and our project approach allowed us to to successfully merge into a matrix project.
Outcome
The project team successfully converted over 70 reports to the new data source.
The project approach proved to be effective to integrate into the broader project and rally the stakeholder support required.

“The project management approach made a significant difference in a difficult project where we were essentially competing for time of SAP specialist stakeholders dedicated to the implementation.”
Lee Wearne - Account Manager
